1. Does Albatroz Engineering perform over-head line inspections with helicopters?

Albatroz Engineering  is a technological solution provider for over-head line inspections; however it does not perform the airborne service. Airborne operation requires personnel with health and physical qualifications according to the rulings of each territory; in addition to these, qualification for airborne operation and safety is also required.

Whenever asked to perform the service,  Albatroz Engineering participates in a consortium gathering the required skills at the envisaged country. The main skills are:

  1. helicopter service provider,
  2. airborne inspection operation,
  3. over-head line inspection technology,
  4. aeronautical project and airworthiness of design changes associated with inspection systems,
  5. data processing and analysis,
  6. management of over-head line inspection,

... and the company focuses mainly on skills 3, 4 and 5.

2. Does Albatroz Engineering offer aerial filming with drones?

Currently and pending legal regulations in Portugal regarding professional services with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles*, Albatroz Engineering does not offer such services.

*also Unmanned Aerial Systems [UAS]  or Remote Pilot Aircraft Systems [RPAS].

3. Does Albatroz Engineering take interns?

Yes, since its early days, Albatroz Engineering keeps a track of collaboration with education and R&D organisations: the first intern came into the company in May 2006, barely two months after the company was established.

Internships, with durations varying between 1 month and 12 months, are aimed at national and international interns and may be of an academic/educational or professional nature. The company prefers trainees proposed by specialized agencies but can accept self-proposed internships. The best season to submit applications or expressions of interest is the last quarter of each year, when plans for the following year are established.
