from Hong Kong, China, was at Albatroz Engenharia for 2 months through IAESTE. Tommy as he was known at Albatroz Engenharia is taking his degree in Data Science and Analytics, and has been working with 3D data in forests.

from Lisbon, Portugal, joined the Albatroz Engenharia on July 9 and was here for 9 weeks. He came to do a summer internship through IST and had as main project to merge data from LiDAR and cameras in order to create 3D textures to these models.

O estágio consistiu em modificar o Flight Simulator 'FlightGear' (open source), com o objectivo de utilizar o sistema como uma ferramenta de simulação para exposições relacionadas com inspecção linhas eléctricas, demonstrando assim o nosso trabalho num ambiente virtual.

from, Kirchheim unter Teck, Germany, did an internship at Albatroz Engenharia from the beginning of November 2015 till the end of March 2016. The task of his internship was to modify the open source flight simulator 'FlightGear', so that the system can be used as a simulation tool at exhibitions to demonstrate our work in a virtual environment.

Sergi Buitrago
from Lleida, Spain, took a Summer Internship in 2012 organized by IAESTE. We worked as a programmer to simulate sensors that are embarked on a virtual aircraft flying inside a flight simulator tool and also on the representation of power lines within the same simulator.

from Valencia, Spain worked as a software engineer in the modifications of an open source flight simulator aimed at simulating Power Line Maintenance Inspections with manned helicopters. His presence was organised by the Leonardo da Vinci program from May to July 2012.

from, Minneapolis, North American, did a summer internship in software from June till the middle of August. Matthew's internship consisted in creating a software tool using algorithms to map the road, and then the volume on sand covering it with limited measuring points.

from, Basque Country, Spain, did a three month internship under the Eramus+ programme, coordinated by the Euroyouth Portugal. Throughout the internship, Sandra worked in international markets research, specifically analysing the South American market.
Javier Ramos
from, Andalusia, Spain was with Albatroz Engenharia since the beginning of May to mid June. His internship was coordinated by the Euroyouth Portugal, under the Eramus+ programme. During these almost three months, Javier redesigned our Ground Maintenance Inspection (GMI), making it more ergonomic and adjusting it to use a new higher-end LiDAR.

Pedro worked within the Grid Intelligence & Optimisation (GIO) framework focussed on the development of an intelligent interface to extend Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with statistical signal processing tools, in order to create a data visualisation application that allows to quantitatively relate the power lines to the environment where they operate
Clara Paiva e Filipe Silva
from Lisbon, Portugal, did a short but intense internship. By using the Google web toolkit in the core of their work, both developed the architecture for a new real time interface, common to all Albatroz Engineering products.
